Why Should I See God?

"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God."
Mathew 5:8

"Our eyes see everything - except themselves" is a slavonic proverb. Even well-educated, intelligent persons fail when it comes to assessing themselves correctly. How can anyone therefore assess or see God properly? Maybe you will object: "Why should I see God. I don't need Him." Well, God can see you! If the mention of Him gives you an uneasy feeling, perhaps it would be better if you learned more of Him in order to discover what earnest consequences your rejection of Him might be.
Or you may say, "That just doesn't interest me. I enjoy my life as much as I can, and that's it!" Why give up so quickly? God loves everyone and wishes to make something positive of their lives. If you could get to know God, you would have confidence in Him.
Another objection is this: "The whole matter with God is just a net to catch the stupid. He doesn't exist!" Would you want to die, making this assertion? In the universe God has made His existence visible to all. But - we must personally want to see Him.
Whoever has turned to God has the joy of actually knowing Him. Others go blindly through life, sensing that something is missing.
The knowledge of God is truly profitable: it brings eternal life and peace with God. But for that our hearts need cleansing. This is what God grants and brings about if we ask Him to do so. God knows each one of us,and wishes that we all come to the knowledge of Him rather than the unjustifiable hatred we have towards Him. He is not responsible for the troubles plaguing us neither did He meant hell for us. Because He must punish sin, He proved His love for us by sending His Son Jesus Christ to take our place of punishment for all the wrongs we've done. "Christ carried the burden of our sins. He was nailed to the cross, so we would stop sinning and start living right. By his cuts and bruises you are healed." (1 Peter 2:24 CEV). Now,anyone who accept what Jesus has done for him is free from his many sins because Christ has already borne the punishment for his sins on the cross.
Friend, don't let your unjustifiable hatred towards God stand between you and Him. He is your Father and wishes that you get to know Him through your elder brother- Jesus Christ. If you get to know Him,you will surely be glad you did. So why not come to Jesus today?
