What Then?
If you are religious, sincere, moral, and do the best you can, but have never been saved from sin, and if Jesus told the truth when He said,"I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot be in God’s kingdom.” (John 3:3),what then?
If you have a nice home, lovely family, and economic security, then die without Christ and without hope like the rich young ruler in Matthew 19:16-22,what then?
If you do your best to treat your fellow men fairly, and have a host of friends, then someday hear God say to you,“Get away from me! You are under God's curse. Go into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels!" (Matthew 25:41),what then?
If your life is filled with pleasure and you daily experience the thrills of dissipation, then in eternity you are condemned to the unending torture of the damned as is in the parable of the lost son in Luke 15:11-32),what then?
If you succeed in business beyond your greatest ambitions and finally find yourself at the top of the ladder, then God says to you,“You fool! Tonight you will die. Then who will get what you have stored up?” (Luke 12:20),what then?
If you laugh at the Bible, scorn religion and ignore all of God's invitations and warnings, then suddenly you die without opportunity to change your attitude or repent of your sins,"Whoever is stubborn after being corrected many times will suddenly be hurt beyond cure." Proverbs 29:1),what then?
If you say there is no God, no heaven, no hell, then find out in eternity that were wrong,"Only a fool would say, “There is no God!” (Psalms 14:1;53:1),what then?
If you gain the whole world and lose your own soul, (Matthew 16:26;Mark 8:36; Luke 18:25),what then?
Face The Fact Of God - He is real and you must meet Him someday. (Romans 14:11)
Face The Fact Of Sin - It's wages are death and the penalty must be paid. (Romans 6:23)
Face The Fact Of Accountability - It cannot be avoided by any human method. In eternity you will face the divine account of your whole life and meet it's consequences. (Romans 14:12)
Now Accept The Fact that God loves you and gave his only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ,to die as your substitute, so that you might be forgiven and receive as free gift, God's own Eternal life. (John 3:16)
Stop living only for time as though there were no eternal ages, ” I tell you that the “right time” is now, and the “day of salvation” is now." (2 Corinthians 6:2).
Stop doing the best you can and trust in what the Lord Jesus Christ did for you upon the cross of Calvary. If we could save ourselves from sin, God would never have permitted His Son to endure the suffering of the cross for you and I. "You were saved by faith in God, who treats us much better than we deserve. This is God's gift to you, and not anything you have done on your own. It isn't something you have earned, so there is nothing you can brag about." (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Stop putting pleasure and business in the position of primary importance. The pleasures you now enjoy will be forgotten in the agony of eternal hell. All your successes will not pry open the gates of heaven. (Luke 13:24-28)
Stop putting off the claims of Christ upon your life or tomorrow may be too late! "So you should look for the Lord before it is too late; you should call to him while he is near." (Isaiah 55:6)
God now "tells all people in the world to change their hearts and lives." (Acts 17:30)
“Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved." (Acts 16:31)
"Everything and everyone that the Father has given me will come to me, and I won't turn any of them away." (John 6:37). Repent of your sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as your own personal Saviour, and trust Him to save and keep you.
What Then? Peace, joy, eternal life, all this and heaven besides! " that everyone who has faith in him will have eternal life and never really die." (John 3:16)
"God is strong and can help you not to fall. He can bring you before his glory without any wrong in you and can give you great joy." (Jude 24),"After I have done this, I will come back and take you with me. Then we will be together." (John 14:3)
