He has a habit of luring "church girls" to his secret hide out and having sex with them. On this fateful day, he took a "new catch " there. As he started to undress the poor naive girll, the young girl took off her head scarf, gave it to him and said ; take this and blind fold God so that he will not be able to see the thing you want us to do.
The Young man was shocked and began to apologize and begged the girl that she should not tell anyone. This girl was teaching this young man a very important lesson many of us ignore today. There is nothing that is hidden from God.
"Everything that is hidden will be found out, and every secret will be known. Whatever you say in the dark will be heard when it is day. Whatever you whisper in a closed room will be shouted from the housetops." (Luke 12:1-2 CEV)
God is watching you, He is the unseen guest and witness of every happening, the silent listener to every conversation. There is no hiding from God. You may cover your actions so that no one may know but you cannot hid them from God. Maybe so far, you have been a good Christian because you are a very careful sinner ; you have learnt to cover up every evidence of your actions. "You cannot fool God, so don't make a fool of yourself! You will harvest what you plant." (Galatians 6:7). Where will a man go to hide from God and his maker? Nowhere. (Psalm 139:1-18).
Dear friend, you are being watched. The eyes of God run to and fro the whole world recording the deeds of all men and women and he will give unto everybody according as he or she hath done. (Revelation 22)12) Whatever that you are involved in that you cannot do it in the physical presence of the Almighty and holy God, you better repent, confess and forsake them now so that you can receive God's mercy and forgiveness today. God loves you so much that He is ready to forgive you and wash away your secret sins. "After all, Christ will judge each of us for the good or the bad that we do while living in these bodies." (2 Corinthians 5:10).
"If you don't confess your sins, you will be a failure. But God will be merciful if you confess your sins and give them up." (Proverbs 28:13). Open up to God right now. "But if we confess our sins to God, he can always be trusted to forgive us and take our sins away." 1 John 1:9). There is an appointment we must all keep with God, "We die only once, and then we are judged." (Hebrews 9:27). "On that day, God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ." (Romans 2:16). Then the film of your life will be shown from the day of your birth to the day of your death. You may have so many secrets in your life that you have done so well to hide. God knows about them all and is willing to forgive you if only you will agree to repent, confess and forsake your actions.
Today is your day to encounter God's mercy and forgiveness. Tell Him your secret sins now and ask Him to forgive you. He is ever ready to receive you with open arms, forgive you and wash your sins away with the blood of Jesus Christ.
"If we say we have not sinned, we are fooling ourselves, and the truth isn't in our hearts. But if we confess our sins to God, he can always be trusted to forgive us and take our sins away." (1 John 1:8-9).
