" God can guard you so that you don't fall and so that you can be full of joy as you stand in his glorious presence without fault." (Jude 24)
Being Saved is the greatest thing that can ever happen to a person here on earth. It means tapping from God's mercy, grace and goodness. It means experiencing and benefiting from God's act of love. It is the first step of a journey to eternity with God in heaven. In fact,it is impossible to make it to heaven without experiencing the new birth (Being Born Again).(John 3:3)
But then,a question was asked: Which is much easier; being saved or walking in one's salvation?
It's a question that keeps surfacing over and over again. Being saved is not our doing. It costs us nothing to be saved. We did not pay enough money or work hard enough to earn salvation for ourselves because it's impossible. In fact,we did not even ask for it. The Bible says," For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God," (Ephesians 2:8). When it comes to salvation,it is God's job. Man has nothing to do with it. But when it comes to walking or maintaining one's salvation, man has a role to play. However, man's role depends on God's provisions. These provisions are not available automatically, but on the condition that man asks for it. This therefore means that man is not autonomous. But the problem is that man wants to be independent. He forgot that he did not saved himself but was saved by another who saw his helpless condition. Man forgot that He who saved him has what it takes to keep him from falling," God can guard you so that you don't fall and so that you can be full of joy as you stand in his glorious presence without fault." (Jude 24).
Salvation costs us nothing, but costs God everything-His beloved Son who did no wrong, but was given as a ransom for us. You think that was easy? Walking in our salvation is much easier. But to see how easy it is,we must learn to depend on Him who saved us. He has all the provisions to help us finish well. All He expects from us is complete obedience and total dependence on Him. We must keep our wills aside and walk on His. But if however,we chose to walk our own way-doing things as we feel like,we are simply telling Him that we are self sufficient and don't need Him. That is why many though being saved, but are still living in sin. Their self sufficiency cannot meet God's righteous demands that is why they are still sinning. I will say it again,Only He who saved you can guard you so that you don't fall. Learn to completely depend on Him,and you will surely sail through.
