All Have Sinned

All Have Sinned
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)
It is not unsual these days to see men and women both young and old, literate and illeterate preach one kind of message or the other in an attempt to make you a 'good' person. Some tell you that you just have to do the best you can by loving your neighbor as yourself. But can you do that? Have you done it successfully? No,there is envy, jealousy, hatred and anger in your heart against your neighbor,co-worker,pastor,friend,etc. Your life confirms the truth of Romans 3:23,"All have sinned". "All" includes you.
You may say that since you don't drink, smoke,or worship idols you are not a sinner." Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me." (Psalm 51:5). Naturally, you are a sinner,Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? There is not one." (Job 14:4)."Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned." (Romans 5:12).
You may count yourself righteous, but the Word of God says you are not free from sin.Sin includes fornication, adultery, backbitting, murder, anger, hatred, lying, stealing, jealousy, envy, malice, drinking, smoking, idolatry, sorcery or witchcraft, fighting, insult, disobedience, unforgiveness, pride, lust, malpractices, bribe, etc. Are you free from all this? Remember,at the bus stop when someone mistakenly stepped on your toes, what did you say? What didn't you say? At the post office when the queue was long, what did you do? When you converted your employer's properties (Stationeries) to your own use, what will you call that? Of course, stealing.
You say you are married (though single) so as to enjoy marital benefits in the office. What is that? You got rid of an unwanted baby in the womb. If that is not murder what is it? You cheated in an examination because you are desperate to pass or get good result. What do you call that? Man,where is your first wife? Have you driven your first wife away and now living with another woman? Do you have one wife at home and other women outside? What does the Word of God call that? Adultery. You reduced your age or use someone else's result to secure a job. What is that to you? When you either directly or indirectly speak evil of others in their absence, how righteous do you feel or claim to be? You always want to have what others have or wants to be like them. What do you think that is? When you pray for others to fail so that you will take their place, what do you call that?
Don't you boast of your beauty, education, family background, post in the church, success, material possessions, etc? "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." (Proverb 16:18). Did you say you are a Christian and a Rosicrucian too? You can be sure that your name is not in the book of life in heaven (Revelation 21:27). Or you are the preacher of an important personality in your church but you are also a member of one secret cult or the other, meeting in the dark that your evil deeds may not be known. You are not a Christian since you are different from Jesus who said,"I have spoken openly to the world. I have always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where all Jews come together. I have said nothing in secret." (John 18:20). You are a sinner.
You cannot by personal effort deliver or help yourself out of sin,"Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the Leopard his spot?" (Jeremiah 13:23). "Though you wash yourself with lye and use much soap, the stain of your guilt is still before me, declares the Lord God." (Jeremiah 2:22). No amount of holy water or consecrated soap can wash your sins away for "without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins." (Hebrews 9:22).
"The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin." (1 John 1:7). Jesus died to remove your sins.Your sins had been laid on Jesus. Yours is to believe now and accept what He has done for you…Jesus came to redeem you,"This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins." (Matthew 26:28).
Your part now is to repent,"Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon." (Isaiah 55:7). "Now repent of your sins and turn to God,so that your sins may be wiped out." (Acts 3:19). Remember that to repent means to turn away from all your sins with a decision of not going back to any of them. Now confess all your sins to God and believe that He is ready to forgive you,"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1John 1:9). Do that now and you will experience the wonderful miracle of deliverance from sin.
