Why Not Believe God Too?If the cyclist rings his bell you jump out of his way.If a driver of a motor bike or car sounds his horn you hasten to safety.Yet when God warns you to "flee from the wrath to come," you are indifferent.Does God's warning means as much to you as the warning of men?
If the cook says the food is not good you throw it away. If the doctor tells you a meficine is poisonous you are careful of it.If the health authorities warn that the drinking water is bad you stop drinking it.Yet when God of love tells you that "The wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23),you go right on sinning.
If the painter puts up a sign,that says,"fresh paint" you move carefully. If you see a sign that says,"danger" you keep away.If the authorities post a notice,"No Trespassing" you observe the warning.But when God faithfully tells you,"The soul who sins shall die," (Ezekiel 18:4),you turn a deaf ear.
If a signs says,"No Admission without a ticket",you make sure that you get the right kind of ticket before you go near the entrance.Yet when Christ Jesus says,"Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God." (John 3:3),you close your mind against Him and go on sinning.
If a company gives away free samples,you push your way in with the crowd to get one.If you hear that a chief is giving out gifts to people you hasten to get one before it finish.But when you hear that "the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23b),you say,"Not just now",although you need it more than anything else.
"If we receive the testimony of men,the testimony of God is even greater.Whoever does not believe God has made a liar out of Him for he refused to believe what God has said.And this is the testimony,that God gave us eternal life,and this life is in His Son.For Christ also died for sins once for all,the righteous for the unrighteous,that He might bring us to God.And there is salvation in no one else.He who believes on the Son has eternal life."
