Where Will You Spend Eternity?What a solemn question! Perhaps you are well and strong and you think you have a long time to live. What if you are wrong? What if death is nearer than you think? A rich man once said to himself,'''My friend,you have enough stored away for years to come. Now take it easy! Eat,drink,and be merry! But God said to him,you fool! You will die this very night'''(Luke 12:19-20). That rich man must have been shocked to hear he only had a few more hours to live. You just don't know when your time will come.
Get Ready Now
Christ is knocking at your door,waiting for you to open to Him." Behold ,now is the day of salvation." (2 Corinthians 6:2). " Don't brag about tomorrow,since you don't know what the day will bring."( Proverb 27:1). Accept God's offer of salvation now just as you are.
Your Life Under Observation
Yes,God is closely observing every detail of your life and He will "bring our darkest secrets to light and will reveal our private motives."(1 Corinthians 4:5). What an awfull day when every secret thought and hidden action will be brought to light by God Himself. You know you have not glorified Him in your every thought and action. You have not been as thankfull to Him as you should be. You have been living for yourself,according to your own plans wihout considering God. How can you meet God in that day of judgment without a savior?
Judgment Day Is Comming
"And I saw a great white throne and the one sitting on it...I saw the dead,both great and small,standing before God's throne. And the books were opened."(Revelation20:11-12). You are not going to be judged according to what you think about yourself,nor by what others think about you. You will be judged by what God Himself writes in those books. "And the dead were judged according to what they had done,as recorded in the books." (Revelation 20:12). God sees every motive of your heart. He knows every secret thought,every covered act." And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of life was thrown into the lake of fire." (Revelation 20:15). None shall escape judgement except those whose names are found in the book of life.
But Wait!
Think a moment about what Jesus Christ did for you when He was crucified. "He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross....Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned,but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God."(1Peter2:24;3:18). "Yet the Lord laid on Him the sins of us all."(Isaiah 53:6)."So also Christ died once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people."(Hebrews 9:28)."The blood of Jesus,His son,cleanses us from all sin.
Love
"This is real love-not that we love God,but that He loved us and sent His son as a sacrifice to take away our sins."(1John 4:1). Think what it cost Jesus Christ,the Lord of glory,to suffer on the cross that we might be set free from the coming judgment and be in heaven with Him forever! "There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friends."(John 15:13). " We know what real love is because Jesus gave up His life for us."(1John 3:16). What love! He is ready and willing to receive and forgive you if you will confess your sins and rebellion to Him. Come to Him as you are. Here Him calling you," Come to me,all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens,and I will give you rest."(Matthew 11:28)." The one who come to me," Jesus said,"l will never reject them."(John 6:37). Come now-tomorrow may be too late!
