Truth Unveilers:Genesis 1:2-3.Dear friends,we are glad that our faithful God has indeed remained faithful by preserving us with His mighty power despite the fierce adversary we have out there who also never sleeps nor slumber until he carrys out his destructive agenda,on careless Christians.
The main aim of this platform is to create a simple and convinient medium were you who are called by the name of the Lord,and chosen by grace,would be able to share with others the understanding God gave you on the Scriptures we provided.
Our knowledge of the Scriptures,is not by our own power,nor wisdom,or understanding,but by the power of the Holy Spirit-the great teacher and revealer of truths[John 16:13].The Bible also made it clear that everything we receive from God,is never because we deserve it,nor worked for it.But it's rather,and act of grace by our heavenly Father who loved us and gave it to us freely.
Therefore always feel free to share whatever God has given to you with others without withholding it back.It's freely given to you,so also,you must freely share it with others.Now that's love!
Now,to our Truth Unveilers Scripture of the month.
The Scripture: Genesis 1:2-3.[New Living Translation] "The earth was formless and empty,and darkness covered the deep waters.And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. Then God said,"Let there be light," and there was light."
This is really an amazing Scripture.Ordinarily,one will easily see it as a Scripture that shows the demonstration of God's power which may be true,but there's something much more than that. Now think of this: * The world was without form * It was empty * Darkness covered it * The Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. Then ask yourself this question:What was the Spirit of God doing in a formless,empty,and darkness filled world? A world of this nature,can best be described as a lifeless world.But then,what could have attracted the Spirit of God,for Him to have descend from a place full of glory to a world without life and meaning?
If you carefully look at the Scripture,you'll discover that three things described the true nature and state of this lifeless world which are:
1. It was formless.Formless simply means without shape or outward appearance,or better still,the state of not coming into existence.This means the world had no shape nor physical appearance to define it.In fact,it's like the world does not even exist.
2. It was emptyEmpty simply means completely without,or having nothing inside.This also mean that the world is completely without anything inside of it.
3. It was covered with great darkness.Darkness simply means absence of light.But the darkness the Bible's talking about here,is far greater than the usual darkness we use to know.You just can't imagine how great the darkness was.
These are the things that described the true state of the lifeless world.Yet,in this kind of condition,the Bible said the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface (top) of it. The world remained like this,until it was time for God to make something out of it.And when the time was right,the Spirit of God was there taking measurement,as He hovers over the surface of the lifeless world.When everything was now set,the Spirit was also there waiting for God's command.And finally,the command came,""Let there be light," and the Spirit lights up the world thus getting rid of the darkness that once covered it despite it's greatness.Light was necessary in order for the formlessness and emptiness of the world to be exposed,before further actions could be taken.But before the light could appear,a command was necessary and this command was Jesus Christ-the very Word of God.But also,before the command could be given,a commander was necessary and this commander,is God the Father Himself.
Therefore,just as the three things listed above,described the true nature and state of the lifeless world,so also,three personalities were involved in the creation work which completely changed the original state of the lifeless world.And these personalities are:
1.The Father-who gave the command,
2.The Son [Jesus Christ,the Word]-who is the command Himself,and
3.The Spirit of God [Holy Spirit]-who sets the command into action.
Now,the creation work actually described what God has done for us.We were in the state the world once was in the very beginning,until the time was right for Him [God] to make something out of us.Also know that He [God] has the option of leaving us in our sorry and hopeless condition,but chosed to save us anyway.He gave us His Spirit so that at His command,His Spirit would light us up by the power of His living Word-Jesus Christ,so that our emptiness and formlessness would be exposed in order to form us,and fill us up.This He did by sending His only Son Jesus Christ to bear "our sins,in His body on the cross"[1 Peter 2:24] so that through Him [Jesus Christ],"we might be made the righteousness of God."[2 Corinthians 5:21]
Moreso,just as the Spirit of God gave life to the lifeless world,so also,His presence in our lives,mean we have eternal life.But unfortunately,many people don't seem to understand the importance of the presence of the Holy Spirit in their lives.In fact,many Christians don't even know Him personally even though they've heard of Him so many times.The Holy Spirit is our one and only means of identification before God.He is the representation of the triune God (popularly known as Trinity-three in one).In fact,the Bible says,"If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ,he does not belong to Him [Christ]." -Romans 8:9b.It is the Spirit of Christ in you,that enables you to manifest the character and attributes of God.It is the Holy Spirit in you,that makes you holy,righteous,truthful,faithful,godly,loving etc,if you understand and walk in obedience to Him.In other words,the Holy Spirit is your qualification to heaven.Our teachings and messages are only mearnt to help you acknowledge the Holy Spirit's presence in your life,and to follow and trust His leadership and Lordship over your life.
