Truth Unveilers: Psalm 23:6

Dear beloved in Christ Jesus,we are extremely glad and thank the Lord Almighty for the success of our first edition of the "Truth Unveilers" Platform aimed at strengthening each other's knowledge of the Scripture. The success achieved is due to two factors which are:

1.It was held as schedule. We introduced and announced on the 31st of last month [July],that this newly introduced platform will be held on the 1st of every month starting from this month [August].And to the glory of God Almighty,it was held though a few participation was recorded.

2.Lessons were learned. The best part of it all,is that lessons were learned. But then, you may wonder what this lessons are,but like we've pointed out above, only a hand full of participation was recorded.Actually we were not surprised as we expected that could happen. So we wanted to find out reasons for the poor participation. We discovered that many, did visited, but never took part in it.Therefore,we thought the followings could be the reasons why they failed to participate:

1.There is nothing to dig out of the Scripture. Is that possible? Every Scripture in the Bible has a message for everyone.Jesus said in John 6:63,"The very Words I have spoken to you are spirit and life." Therefore, there is life in every Scripture. And also, because the life in it is spirit, one will need the help of the Holy Spirit to discover it otherwise,it will look like an ordinary Scripture to that person.

2.It is a simple, common, and a much familiar Scripture.Whoever thinks the Scripture is simple and common is mistaken. There is nothing simple and common in God's Word.If that were the case, then we won't need the help of the Holy Spirit at all. This is the mistake that many Christians do make which lead them to misinterprete the Scriptures.2 Peter 3::16 [NCV]says,"Some things in Paul's letters are hard to understand, and people who are ignorant and weak in faith explain this things falsely. They also falsely explain the other Scriptures. . ."
Whoever says the Scripture is simple and common,is simply saying he does not need the help of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, every Scripture has something new for us everyday.

3.I don't have time.Well,we knew that some people would be busy thus have no sufficient time to participate that was why we said they can do participate at their own free time. But hence four days's not enough for them to participate, makes us wonder how many hours they've allocated for God daily. It's really sad for someone who wants to make it to heaven at this crucial hour of no time.

4.I'm not aware of this programme. We'll be surprised if some could say they aren't aware ofthis arrangement. The update has been there for almost four days, but if one claims not to be aware of it,it then means that that person does not visit our page atleast regularly. Please do check back to see if there's something you're missing.

5.I'll make it a personal study.Well that's good, but that wasn't the main reason why it was organised. It was mearnt to strengthen each other. If you keep your discoveries to yourself, then how would you help others? Please do well to share it with us next time.

Well, that was the findings we thought could be responsible for the poor participation in the "Truth Unveilers" Platform.organised for this month. Now lets see what the Scripture has for us.

Psalm 23:6,

"Surely, your goodness and love will be with me all my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.

From the Scripture above, king David in his sacred song to God,pointed out two important facts he's sure of.The word "surely" means without dout, hesitation, mistake or failure.
He was so sure that the goodness and unfailing love of God will be with him all his life.Yet not just that alone,he was also sure that he will be in the house of the Lord [that is in heaven] forever.King David knew that he'll die someday, but he believed and is confident that he'll enjoy the goodness and love of God to the end of his life [that is here on earth].And he's also confident that after the end of his life here on earth,he'll make it to heaven thus be with the Lord forever.

But then, what could have made David so sure of it? It's because he had faith in the Lord his God.Right from his child hood,he had faith in God and never allowed his sins to seperate him from the Lord by acknowledging them and seeking for forgiveness at all times. He is therefore an example of those who were consistent in their personal relationship with God.In Psalm 36:10 [NCV],he says,"Continue to love those who know you and to do good to those who are good." For David to have prayed this way, showed that he knew God personally and that's what gave him confidence otherwise,he himself will not qualify to enjoy the love and goodness of the Lord in his life according to his prayer above.
Also from the Scripture, one can see that David was a man who wants to enjoy God here on earth, and thereafter, finally be with him in heaven.

His desire for God enabled him to remain focus and steadfast in the Lord.In fact, for God to have testify of David as a man after His own heart [Acts 13:22],showed how close and consistent David's fellowship and relationship with the Lord was.

Therefore,If you were to be in king David's shoes, won't you be confident enough to say what king David said in the Scripture above? To be sure of enjoying God's love and goodness in your life here on earth, and be confident of making it to heaven to spend eternity with the Lord, you must have knowledge of Him personally by establishing, maintaining and sustaining a consistent fellowship and personal relatioship with the Lord.David did this, and made it.If you are willing and ready to do it aswell, you will make it too.It all begins with accepting and acknowledging Jesus as your Lord and personal Savior.Do it now,and you can be sure just as King David was.

We deeply appreciate all who participate in this Scripture study "Truth Unveilers" for this month. We pray that the Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ will continue to guide, protect, keep us focused, and broaden our knowledge of Him day by day through His Word.May the Lord supply His grace in aboundance to you,so that you may live for Him in this dark and confused world where sin abounds.[Amen]
