Giving It All Up!

Dear brothers and sisters in the Lord,in this time where the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is at hand,it's our deepest heart desire and earnest prayer for the Lord to preserve and keep each of us by His mighty power,and to give us more of His grace which is necessary to keep us moving. For without His grace,we'll all collapse never to make it to the end.
However,in as much as we keep trusting and having faith in Jesus,we'll like you to know that He is ever willing and ready to help you make it on the condition you allow Him take the wheel.Allowing Jesus to take the wheel,means to give up your right over yourself,and be completely subject to Him.Only then,you can be sure of a happy ending.
But as it is,whenever it comes to the issue of giving up one's right over himself,many don't seem to understand what this truely means.Jesus said,"to his followers,"If people want to follow me,they must give up the things they want.They must be willing even to give up their lives to follow me."" -Matthew 16:24.[New Century Version] He also said,"Those who love their father or mother more than they love me are not worthy to be my followers.Those who love their son or daughter more than they love me are not worthy to be my followers." -Matthew 10:37.Giving up your rights over yourself means to agree to what this two Scriptures say.
Moreover,the problem with many people especially most Christians to be precise,is that they love associating or identifying themselves with Jesus,but are never willing to give up the things they want,nor are they willing to give up even their lives for Him.It is therefore quite easy for one to identify himself with Jesus as is commonly seen today,but the most important of all is that Jesus identifies such a person.But then, how can Jesus identify Himself with a person who is not willing and ready to give up his rights so that he could be able to do what God wants him to do? Jesus wants to help you,but He can't unless you are willing and ready to say no to yourself and to all your desires that produces nothing but constant disobedience to the will of God.That is the only condition.
Furthermore,a Christian who gives up his right so that Jesus would take control over him,will surely do what God wants him to do.Remember,only those who do the will of the Father in heaven,will enter the KIngdom of God.[Matthew 7:21] But you can't do the Father's will unless you give up that right of yours that have caused you to disobey Him again and again by doing things your own way as you see fit.
Ecclesiastes 7:29[CEV] said,"We were comletely honest when God created us,but now we have twisted minds." Why is that? It's because we are the ones managing our lives,ourselves thus disobey God by doing the things that makes us happy and comfortable even though we know fully well that God is against those things.A twisted mind can never do what God wants that's why the world is confused today not knowing what it is doing.It sees good as evil and evil as good.In fact,any person who claims to be a Christian but is still the decision maker and runner of his life,is a twisred minded Christian who can never do the will of the Father in heaven.And Jesus is saying that those kind of Christians don't deserve heaven and won't make it there!
Therefore,it doesn't matter how many years you might have been bearing the Christian name,or what you might have forced yourself to believe in order to conceal the truth about this matter,Jesus is still saying that unless you give up your right of doing what you want,as you want,and when you want it,and giving way for Him to come in and tave over,you'll most certainly be among those who will be crying out "Lord! Lord" but would receive I don't know you as an answer.
We know that it's not easy,but we must tell you the truth because God called us for this very purpose.Knowing the truth would enable you to know the reality on ground thus make the necessary adjustments from what you used to believe,and start living for Jesus as you should.He died and was raised from the dead for this very purpose.The Bible says"Christ died for all so that those who live would not continue to live for themselves.He died for them and was raised from the dead so that they would live for Him." -2 Corinthians 5:15.To live for Jesus,means to give up everything for Him.
Finally,Romans 8:6[CEV] says,"If our minds are ruled by our desires,we will die.But if our minds are ruled by the Spirit,we will have life and peace." That is the absolute truth! We can't continue living our lives and doing things the way we feel like,and expect to enter the Heavenly Kingdom mearnt only for those who are ever willing and ready do die doing what God wants rather than desiring the corruptible things of this life.As stated earlier,Jesus wants us to make it to the heavenly home He has prepared for us,but we can make it only if we can say to hell with our desires for the perishable things of this life by yielding our lifes totally to Him.
But to those who stick to their desires for the things of this world,God's Word says they'll die as read from the Scripture quoted above.So where do you belong? It will be a terrible thing for you to bear the Christian name throughout your active days here on earth only to end up been rejected by heaven due to failure to do the will of the Father.As we journey together,our earnest prayer is for you to give it all up giving way for Jesus to take over for you so that you can have a safe journey home.
