"Abraham believed God,and God counted him as righteous because of his faith." -Romans 4:3.
The Journey to Destruction
Everyone expects justice. The world around us is sighing for it.If another person,or even another nation deals unrighteously, they immediately become the target for criticism. But we keep silent about any injustice that we ourselves commit.
If people are asked where all the unrighteousness in the world comes from, the answers mostly miss the mark.If we search for a true, scriptural cause we reach the following conclusion: because people believe they can live without or even in opposition to God,hatred, violence, lying, and injustice are wide spread in our society.
The Bible shows us that.the world is heading for judgment for rejecting the one Savior sent by God.
However,God be thanked, there is the possibility for individuals to abandon this journey to destruction.Whoever comes to Jesus Christ, the Son of God,need no longer conceal his own sin and unrigheousness. He can confess them calling them by their proper name "People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy." -Proverb 28:13.This has tremendous consequence: whoever confess his guilt before God receives forgiveness.Indeed.God pronounces him righteous as if he had never committed a wrong deed.
God can act in such grace towards the sinner, because His Son suffered and died on the cross of Calvary for this very purpose.Complaining about other people's injustice does not bring salvation, but only confessing one's own guilt before God.Then we are able to lead our life righteously and lovingly. And the change will not go unnoticed in our neighborhood.
However, since God has provided a way out for those who are already on their way to destruction,it would be an act of self destruction if they should continue on this horrible path knowing fully well, where it all ends. But to those who by the grace of God chose to change direction by coming to Jesus, the Bible said they,"have already passed from death into life." -John 5:24.
Therefore, while the world is busy looking at others guilts and administering justice as they claim, look at yourself in the light of God's Word, and turn to Jesus who bore your "sins in His body on the cross. . ." -1Peter 2:24.
