One of these days you and I will leave this world - maybe sooner than we think. Do you know the way to heaven?
Many well-meaning people assume they will get to heaven by doing good or by being good, by going to church or by religious. They hope to "earn" heaven by something they can do or be - but that is not God's way. As good as this things are in themselves, they are not the way to heaven.
The way to heaven is Jesus. He said: " I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the father except through me." (John 14:6).
One sin shut Adam and Eve out of the garden of Eden forever, and one sin will shut you out of heaven forever - unless you trust the Lord Jesus christ as your savior. Have you trusted Him? If not, why not now? Satan says "Wait awhile", God says, "Indeed, the "right time" is now. Today is the day of salvation" (2cor.6:2).
In the Bible God tells us of only two places where everyone will spend eternity. One is hell:
"Anyone whose name was not found recorded in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire" (Rev. 20:15). "But cowards, unbelievers, the corrupt, murderers, the imoral, those who practice witchcraft, idol worshipers, and all liars-their fate is in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death" (Rev. 21:8) "And they will go away into eternal ponishment, but the righteous will go into eternal life" (Matt. 25:46), "If you hand causes you to sin, cut it of, it's better to enter eternal life with only one hand than to go into the unquenchable fires of hell with two hands" (Mark 9:43-44).
The other eternal place is heaven, where the Lord Jesus is, and where all those who have recieve Christ as their Savior will be.
"Don't let you heart be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my father's home. If this were not so, would i have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am" (John 14:1-3).
"You will show me the way of life. Granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever" (Psalm16:11).
When Jesus was on earth, He said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest" (Matt.11:28). "However, those the father has given me, will come to me, and I will never reject them (John 6:37).
Jesus, the risen savior, is eager today to have sinners come to Him with all their sins and their needs, just as He was when He was here on earth.
If , as a sinner, you come to Jesus and trust Him as your savior, God's word guarantees that your sins will be forgiven - "He is the one all the prophets testified about, saying that everyone who believes in him will have their sins forgiven through his name" (Act 10:43) - and you will go to heaven. THE WAY TO HEAVEN IS JESUS; there is no other.
