Who cares about you?

For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead,you will be saved. -Romans 10:9.

Who cares about you?
A man awaiting trial reported the following:
"I am accused of several indictments; some of them are serious crimes.The sentence has not yet been passed,but my lawyer tells me that the least I can expect is 20 years' imprisonment.
"One day,a few months ago,I was gripped by the terrible reality.I could neither eat nor sleep.In my despair I felt extremely forlorn.There was nobody who worried about me.
"About that time the prison padre came round and gave me a track entitled:'Who cares about you?' Reading it,I suddenly became aware that Jesus Christ was interested in me.I recognized that before God I was a sinner,but I also learned the verse Romans 10:9 in the Bible,and I asked Jesus to come into my heart.
"I still weep sometimes,but they are tears of joy.I shall have to sit out the punishment of my guilt towards mankind,I acknowlegde that.But my greater guilt towards God has been atoned for by Another: Jesus Christ bore all my sins on the cross and,instead of me,suffered a just punishment for them."
The convict adds the following: "Now you have read my confession,I would like to ask you a question.You are probably an upright person compared with what I have been.You probably have nothing to fear in the way of man's justice.But how will you escape from God's infallible judgment?Do what I did: put your trust in Jesus Christ!"
