A revelation of God
What people say about God really is confusing.Many dispute the fact that He exists at all.Others consider Him to be a mystic being whom no-one can know.Among those who acknowledge His existence there are some who believe that He shows no concern about us,and certainly not about details of our lives.For some people God and nature are one and the same thing.
Mere opinions are useless.We need a revelation of God Himself.And the living God has indeed revealed Himself-in His Son,Jesus Christ,in His death and resurrection.The Bible,is the reliable document testifying to the credibility of these essentials to salvation.God Himself tells mankind in the Bible,His Word,who He is.
God knows us all,including our thoughts,ways,and words -Psalm 139:1-4.
God can do all things,nothing is beyond Him -Job 42.:2.
God is everywhere;no-one can hide from Him -Jeremiah 23:23.24.
God is unchangeable both in His being and in His Word -Malachi 3:6;James 1:17;Isaiah 40;8.
God is eternal,without beginning or end -Isaiah 40:28.
God is holy and cannot tolerate sin -Isaiah 6:3;Habakkuk 1:13.
God is love.His wish for us is expressed in His Word.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son,so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." -John 3:16.
