The true helper
Many years ago a pilot of the British Royal Air Force told of the following experience:
Every pupil pilot is taught that excessively slow leads to spinning,causing the aircraft to decend turning like a leaf.
I shall never forget the day when my flight instructor said,"Now we'll just practise it." He explained everything precisely and then said,"Now we'll take off and try it!" He sat behind me and we rose to a height of some 12,000 feet over an uninhabited area.
It was very easy to make the aircraft spin:one needed only to throttle back the engine,pull back the joystick to slow down the flight speed,then start the spin with the rudder.
But when the instructor told me to bring the steering back to it's original position,it didn't succeed at once.The ground was coming up towards us rapidly,and the joystick vibrating as we whirled down through the air.For a few seconds I sweated with terror,trying in vain to control the steering.Then a voice sounded through my headphones:"I'll take over!" What a relief it was to hear those words and be able to hand over the controls!After only a few moments we were flying horizontally again.
In my life,too,there came the moment when I noticed that I had lost control.I was rushing towards eternal perdition and could do nothing to save myself.I only became happy when I gave up the struggle and surrendered my life to the Lord Jesus Christ.

The testimony share above is a clear indication that all humanity at one point in time encounter situations beyong their power.The truth is:No matter who we are or how much we believe in ourselves,there's always a limit to what we think or believe we can do.
In fact,if humans have no limitations,then I believe all the troubles and lots of challenges faced by the world today,would have been addressed.Issues like natural disasters (earthquake,drought,tsunami etc),global warming,pandemic and many more problems face by the world today not to talk of death,would have been duly taken care of.But on the contrary,there are so many things and issues the world has been battling and is still battling with today without any solution,insead things get even more worse and complicated.All this simply means that there is a limit to what we can do.
Moreso,if we can truely help ourselves,then God will be useless.But God in His wisdom puts a limit to our abilities in order to let us know that we can do nothing without Him.This is why he said,"Trust me in your times of trouble,and I will rescue you,and you will give me glory." -Psalm 50:15, and Trust in the Lord with all your heart;do not depend on your own understanding. -Proverbs 3:5.
The truth is man thinks he's wise and intelligent enough to tackle and solve his own problems instead of trusting God and coming to Jesus by faith to take care of all that for him."Come to me,all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens,and I will give you rest. -Matthew 11:28.
The truth is,you mustn't hide the fact that you can't help yourself for it will do you no good.Look around and see for yourself,did human knowledge made the world a better place with all the troubles and terrors you see everywhere?You have to admit that you cannot help yourself by coming to Jesus today by faith and humility.For He said,"If you will only obey me and let me help you,then you will have plenty to eat." -Isaiah 1:19.
