And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according tn His purpose for them. -Romans 8:28.

Harold Hestekind,a missionary in China,was cycling down a street in Shanghai.His wife was following him.Suddenly she cried out,"Harold!" He looked round and saw that she had been knocked down and had fallen under a bus.Harold could only pray,"O God,stop the wheels!" And the bus stopped with the rear wheels directly behind his wife.Some policemen ran up and took down the details of the accident.
Mrs Hestekind was taken to hospital where they discovered that she had a severe,but not life-threatening injury to her head.Mr Hestekind had been allowed to accompany her,but had to call at the police station later.On the way there he thought of the verse from the Bible quoted above.He wondered what good could come of that case.
At the station he saw the over-tired Chinese bus-driver.A police officer told Hestekind,"He is responsible for the accident.If you sign these papers,he will be punished." Hestekind looked into the pale face of the young driver.It was indeed his fault,but remembering the mind of Christ,his Master,he said,"No,he shouldn't be punished.Let him go free! And please see that he doesn't lose his job!" For a moment the bus-driver stared at Hestekind.Then he sprang up and shouted,"Now i see it! My father,mother and the family are all Christians.But i saw nothing attractive in Christianity.Now i do:it is love! I'll give my heart to Christ today."
Those in the office were electrified.On all sides the police asked about the faith.It was Hestekind's best opportunity of witnessing for Christ in China
