One critical yet important issue many people don't know or find difficult to understand,is the issue of self.But before i proceed,it's quite clear that alot of factors contributed to why the world think less of christianity with the biggest contributor being ignorance.Ignorance is one if not the best tool the devil uses in order to carryout his missions successfully.He does everything possible to keep people fom knowing or discovering the truth about themselves in other to destroy them.Read what God said here; My people are being destroyed because they don't know me. -Hosea 4:6a.
Ignorance gives the devil the power to operate successfully doing what ever he wants with his victims for he knows they would not resist him hence they neither know nor have any idea of his purpose and intentions for any action he takes which is simply to kill and destroy.Read this verse; The thief comes only to steal and to kill and to destroy. . . -John 10:10a.You can see that the devil is described here as a thief,a killer and a destroyer.Think about this,would you possibly want to have anything to do with a thief,a killer and a destroyer?
Having briefly unveiled who the devil is as describe in God's word,i will now reveal to you how he carries out his activities which now takes me back to where we started.Now i would like you to carefully take a few moment to look at yourself and answer this questions: What makes you like or dislike things? How to do you react to situations around you?Why do you always have to make a choice?Why do you think?why do you have a consience? and many more questions on why you do the things you do both good and bad alike.These and many others are what constitute self.
We will take an indepth look at self in part 2 of this study.
